INEWSBC | The internet society of Namibia is to hold a dialogue in collaboration with Global Citizens’ internet dialogue on Thursday.
The Global citizens internet dialogue which is held in Poland will be a virtual event this year with over 70 countries which are expected to join in on the conversation, with the internet rapidly growing the question asked what does these place humans, and is the internet necessary.
These dialogues are normally held with stakeholders but this year the dialogue shall be held with citizens to hear first-hand experiences.
The dialogue is centered around various topics such as digital identity and internet governance, and the coloration between the internet and user during Covid-19.
The Executive Director of MICT is the keynote speaker Namibia shall focus on digital identity and internet governance, this year the dialogue shall include users and get their point on things like data usage.
The event is to be held at Avani Hotel tomorrow from 8 a.m to 5 p.m for 100 participants. Due to COVID-19 this year 50 people are to attend physically, and 50 are to attend virtually.
