The non-profitable, Ombeja Yehinga Organization (OYO) is set to relocate from Suiderhof to Prosperita (96 Nickel Street, Kingland complex, unit 13) after over 10 years.
OYO has been managing the OYO Dance troupe since 2009, “The first dance troupe in Namibia to employ young dancers as performers,” Cecilia Petrus, the OYO general manager comments.
The organization is finally moving because they found a bigger place which is able to allow the dance troupe to have their rehearsals while been with the rest of the staff.
” All this while the dancers have been rehearsing at various places thanks to the generosity of our partners such as the City of Windhoek, the Windhoek Multipurpose Youth Center, Ella du Plessis Secondary school and many others.” Petrus
OYO has been looking for a place suitable for the whole team, including the dance troupe, the youth development team, OYO counselling and the team responsible for production projects (DVDs and Magazines).
“We finally found an opportunity and it motivated the change. It is cost-effective which is our aim while building a stronger team, ” says Petrus. Contact numbers and eMails remain the same, just be patient until Telecom reconnects the Organization.
