INEWSBC | According to Farm Manager Ntanda Hoster at farm Guntas, it has been very difficult days when 90% of the grazing land burnt to ashes.
The fire has left more than 10 commercial farms in the Otjozondjupa Region with small portions of grazing areas.
Shipingana Kayere’s land measuring 3,800 hectares has also burned down in 1 hour as the fire was beyond their control.
It is alleged that the fire outbreak might have been caused by some farmers in charcoal production.
Affected farmers are requesting for any kind of assistance from the state.
