INEWSBC | TB Awareness week is kicking off in Namibia and this year it is being commemorated under the theme It is time Namibia to end TB.
Namibia has long since been battling Tuberculosis and it is reported in a survey recently conducted that 465 per 100 000 people are infected with TB which is high.
Many people live with TB undiagnosed, but over the years curbing the spread of TB has been successful with 86% who are treated successfully.
With modern medicine evolving over time shorter treatment now has been introduced and medication for TB is free.
This year during the TB Awareness, screenings shall be done in various parts of the country under various other campaigns happening across the country.
